Turkish Airlines and Air Algérie Deepen Partnership
Turkish Airlines and Air Algérie sign a comprehensive MoU to expand their partnership, boosting connectivity between Türkiye, Algeria, and global markets.

Turkish Airlines (THY) and Algeria’s flag carrier Air Algérie signed a comprehensive MoU to broaden their strategic ties—expanding codeshare coverage and exploring joint work in cargo interline, aircraft leasing, catering, lounge access, maintenance, and ground handling to strengthen connectivity between Türkiye, Algeria, and onward markets. The pact arrives as THY accelerates a sweeping fleet and network plan. In late September, the carrier announced orders for up to 75 Boeing 787s and a commitment for as many as 150 737 MAX jets to power growth toward 2033. At the same time, Chairman Ahmet Bolat signaled the 737 deal could shift to Airbus if engine talks with CFM fall short—underscoring THY’s procurement leverage and flexibility.
