Future ventures takes stage at TEKNOFEST
TEKNOFEST, showcased ventures shaping the future. The festival highlights Türkiye’s innovative power of its youth.
This year’s TEKNOFEST Istanbul reaffirmed Türkiye’s position as a rising global technology hub, bringing together 565,000 teams and over 1.2 million participants from 81 provinces and 96 countries across 64 competitions. Hosted at Istanbul Atatürk Airport under the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Türkiye Technology Team Foundation (T3), the world’s largest aviation, space, and technology festival once again showcased the country’s innovation drive. Competitions held in 58 main and 137 subcategories provided more than ₺85 million in financial support to teams advancing past the preliminary rounds, while prize winners received an additional ₺65 million. Among the standout projects, “From Your Eyes,” an advanced AI-based visual recognition system mimicking human vision, earned the Best National Award from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the festival’s third day, emphasizing the National Technology Initiative’s vision of fostering local innovation with global reach. Bilişim Vadisi,one of the movement’s strongest partners, stood out with its dynamic presence and future-oriented startups that inspired thousands of young innovators throughout the event.
Having welcomed more than 11 million visitors since its inception, TEKNOFEST has evolved beyond a national festival into a global brand — symbolizing Türkiye’s ambition to lead the next generation of technological transformation.
